Independence Day ( 15th August, 2013) :
August 15, the 67th
Anniversary was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our school. At 7:30 am, we
all assembled in the school field and the flag was hoisted by our honourable
Principal Ravindranath D Savdeykar, followed by National Anthem and Principal’s inspiring speech.
Patriotic Song ” Rastra Bhakti Prerna Ka Gaan Vandemataram” was sung by our
students. Then, the March Pastand
thundering “ Band Display” (by our students) followed the programme. A large
gathering of parents was there on the occasion. All teaching and non– teaching
staff members were present. Prasad was distributed to everybody present.
ORIENTATION CAMP 2014 FOR NEWLY JOINED TEACHERS
An induction camp was organised for
new teachers in VKV Dibrugarh for three days starting from 20th
March 2014 to 23rd March

Vidyalayas attended the Camp. The Camp Members followed regular routine from
6am to 9.30 pm with several activites
like Pratahsmaran,Yogabhysa, various Satras by experts Kridayoga,Bhajan Sandhya
etc. They were given a brief idea on the life and messages of Swami
Vivekananda , his dream of Man Making and Nation Building , the story behind
building of the Rock Memorial and classes on teaching techniques and
a school holiday on Sunday, VKV Dibrugarh celebrated the death anniversary
(punya tithi or Tirobhav) of Srimanta Sankardev a day before the actual tithi
i.e on 31st August, 2019 in the Vidyalaya campus. As has been the tradition year after year, all the students and
teachers gathered together and began the celebration with the daily prayer. Our
senior most teacher Smt. Rajkumari Sharma didi welcomed our chief guest Su. Meera
Kulkarni didi, Assam Pranth Sanghatak, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari . After
her felicitation a group of students performed “Gayan-Bayan” (a traditional
performance of the Vaishnav Sattriya tradition) in praise of Srimanta
Sankardev. The singer is called ‘gayan’ and the instrument players are called
‘bayan’. Su. Meera Didi gave a speech on the significance of the day in which
