Matri Puja 
19th February, 2019 

Matri Puja was organized in the Vidyalaya on 19th February, 2019. 66 mothers were present along with their children. The programme started at 9 am at the Sanskriti Sabagriha under the strict guidance of Sri Krishna Kumar ji, VKVAPT. In his speech, Sri Krishna Kumar ji said that the Matri Puja should be considered as an expression of love and respect to the mother who not only gave birth to them but have been supportive throughout. At the same time, he focused on the importance of inculcating values like Matri Devo Bhavo, Pitro Deva Bhavo, Guru Devo Bhavo and Rastra Devo Bhava etc.
The Puja was done with full of devotion in the traditional manner which continued for almost an hour. Krishna Kumar ji not only chanted the Puja mantras, he also literally translated and interpreted them in English as well as hindi.

Utsarga Samaroh
 16th February, 2019
 Anusthanic Utsarga was organized for the students of Class XII at the Vidyalaya on 16th February, 2019 for the session 2018-19. Sri R.M.Thakre , Vice Principal, VKV Dibrugarh instructed the students on do’s and don’ts of the CBSE Board Examination, 2019. Smt. Rajkumari Sharma, SeniorTeacher of the Vidyalaya blessed and guided the students. With the concept of positive thinking. Sri Shasanka Roy, Vice Principal of the Vidyalaya, narrated a motivational story to boost up the students. The rpogramme cocluded with the Aahuti Satra, students offering floral tribute to Bharatmata and receiving a gift of book (Kendra Publication), instruction leaflet and a “note to parents” from CBSE.

Report on Topic – Examination and Evaluation Workshop, 2019
A one day Programme on topic “Examination and Evaluation Workshop, 2019” by CBSE was conducted at our Vidyalaya, VKV Dibrugarh on 13th February, 2019. 67 participants including Principals, Vice Principals, Teachers from 14 different CBSE affiliated schools of Upper Assam registered online a day ahead of the programme. 

The resource person of the workshop was Sri Amol Kumar Mishra, Principal, DPS Dhaligaon, Bongaigaon. Principal, VKV Baragolai, Smt. Pranoti Didi welcomed the resource person. The motive of the workshop was to do justice to the students in the examination and evaluation, 2019 as teachers play pivotal and key role in examination process.
The resource person, Sri A.K.Mishra emphasized the necessity of the workshop by CBSE. He also presented a PPT to make the participants aware in the changes made in the evaluation process by CBSE. In his lecture, he defined the various roles to be played by Head Examiners, Evaluators, Co-ordinators and Chief Nodal Supervisors.
The workshop was very meaningful as the forth coming exams are close at hand and the evaluation will follow immediately soon after.
A question – answer session was also encouraged buy Sri Mishra. Participants came up with relevant and apparent questions to which they received satisfied answers.
Above all, the programme was highly successful. The program concluded with all participants dispersing with the pledge to give their best in the evaluation duties and make it a just and fair one.

Saraswati Puja 

10th February, 2019

Goddess Saraswati is worshipped for inspiration to do excel in the field of literature, music, arts, maths and sciences. All institutes and organizations associated with education celebrate and observe Saraswati Puja or Basant Panchami.

Keeping the tradition alive our Vidyalaya celebrated Basant Panchami with fervour on February 10th, 2019. Basant Panchami is an occasion which also marks the onset of the spring season. It is also celebrated to worship Goddess Saraswati, the symbol of knowledge and wisdom. Sri R.M.Thakre, Vice Principal, VKV Dibrugarh along with the teachers of our Vidyalaya paid floral obeisance to the idol of Goddess Saraswati. 


Parents also attended the puja led by a learned pandit in the school premises, all the students prayed to Ma. Saraswati, goddess of knowledge, seeking blessings by chanting Saraswati Vandana and Bhajan to mark the occasion, the assembly hall was well decorated with flowers which brought life to the puja celebration. Khichdi delicacies were served as Prasad among the devotees.
