GAYATRI MAHAYAGYA

On the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi, Wednesday, 31st August, Gayatri Mahayagya was performed successfully by VKV Dibrugarh under the guidance of Gayatri Pariwar, headquarter, Shantikunj located in Haridwar.

The Principal, Vice Principal, teachers, students, parents and staff members gathered in the vidyalaya campus where 24 hawan kunds (fire pits) were made for the yagya to be performed under the guidance of 10 priests.

Yagyas are done with the aim of keeping the least for self-joy and sharing the maximum possible for the welfare of the society as a whole.

It not only gives a message of selfless service but also has proved to have beneficial effects on personal health and surrounding environment.

Gayatri Pariwar’s motto is “Hum Badlenge, Yug Badlega..Hum Hum Sudhrainge, Yug Sudhrega” If we change ourselves with good thought & actions, we can change the world to a better place.

Students, parents and teachers sat together and offered their prayers. The yagya concluded with sacrificing and sublimating the havan samagri in the yagya fire upon chanting of Vedic mantras with a promise to leave out all the negative energy in oneself. It was a successful event and everyone was served khichdi Prasad after.
