Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh celebrates Vivekananda Jayanti with a two-day long
programme - 11th and 12th Jan’24. Set with a unique theme
‘Shree Ram’, the celebration started with an opening ceremony on 11th
Jan’24. Sri Gopal Chandra Hazarika, retired Professor of Dibrugarh University Department
of Mathematics, presided over the meeting. Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest
in his speech, encouraged the different activities practiced in the Vidyalaya
to promote the country’s rich cultural heritage.
Dignitaries,
Principals and faculties of various schools, well-wishers, alumni, parents,
students & teachers graced the occasion.
Programmes included Ram Stuti, Ram Bhajan,
Hanuman Chalisa, Gayan Bhajan etc. based on the relevance of Ramayana’s teachings
in today’s context, emphasizing values like dharma, compassion and integrity. An
Ankiya Nat entitled ‘Ram Vijay’staged by the students of the Vidyalaya mesmerized
the jam packed audience.
A
spiritual ambience was set at the entrance with events like paying of floral
tributes to Bharatmata & Swamiji.
The
splendid decoration in the entire premises of the Vidyalaya created an impact on
the very theme of the day, ‘Sri Ram’.
