The birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru is celebrated as Children’s Day. India both historically and by virtue of its importance has been and is the classic land of modern imperialism. Any disturbance in India is bound to have consequences in world affairs. The youth should try to maintain peace in India so that the entire world is in peace.
 Nehru internal policies consisted of uplifting farmers and to help children in getting education. He improved the position of women by passing laws which increased the marriage age from 12 to 15 years, divorce and remarriage. He gave much importance to Science and Technology. India has prove to be and advanced nation in technology. India was amongst the six nation - France, America, Germany, Russia & China - to test blast the hydrogen bomb.

History of VKV Dibrugarh

Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya - a renowned English Medium, co-educational, Senior Secondary School at Vivekananda Road, East Chowkidinghee, Dibrugarh was established on 16 February  1981. It is affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi . The educational system is administrated by Vivekananda Kendra Shiksha Prasar Vibhag- the educational wing of Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, a spiritually oriented service organization based on the 'Man Making - Nation Building Education ' as envisaged  by Swami Vivekananda . The Vidyalaya endeavors not only to achieve academic excellence but also strives for imparting Nationalistic Education along with love for  local culture .
