Flag hoisting ceremony  

The 69th Republic Day of India 2018 is celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at VKV Dibrugarh.
Flag hoisting ceremony and a brief but colourful programme was held in the school premises. The programme started with three Omkaras and Shatimantra.
The chief guest of the programme was Dr. Meenakshi Barve, Vanaprasti Karyakarta,Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari unfurled the National Flag which was followed by the National Anthem. The students, teachers and the parents all saluted the Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honour and integrity, diversity and uniqueness.
The students of Primary and Secondary section presented two patriotic songs. The graceful movements of the participants were spellbinding. Smt. Rajkumari Sharma, Senior Teacher of our Vidyalaya addressed the significance of the day to the spectators. She urged everyone to feel proud to be Indians.

Smt. Sudipta Dam, senior most teacher of our Vidyalaya delivered the Vote of Thanks. She expressed heartfelt gratitude to all for holding the program a successful one. The students dispersed after snacks with the image of the fluttering tricolour in their minds. Approx 250 students, parents and well wishers along with the Vidyalaya staff attended the programme gracefully.

Saraswati Puja 

22nd January, 2018

Devotees paying obeisance to the Goddess Saraswati
Saraswati Puja is celebrated in VKV, Dibrugarh on 22nd January, 2018 with traditional fervor in the Vidyalaya premises to pay allegiance to the Goddess of knowledge, learning, arts and culture. Devotees including students, well-wishers and parents in great numbers flocked to the Vidyalaya in their best attire to pay obeisance to the Goddess. Puspanjali was also offered to the serene Goddess seated on a swan under the guidance of a Pujari. The devotees were enthralled by the continuous chanting of the hymns in the traditional way. The Puja was conducted to augur enriching powers and faculties of the students in the field of creative arts, learning and science. Students, Teachers, Parents and Well Wishers about 2100 (approx) were present in the festivity to pay their respect to the patron of music, culture and learning. Khichdi delicacies were served as Prasad among the devotees.

National Youth Day

12th January, 2018 

The programme started at 2:30 pm by Mangalacharan and lightening of the Lamp. The address of welcome was delivered by our Principal, Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar which was followed by presentation of Vidyalaya report by Smt. Hironmoyee Das, Primary In-Charge. 

The Chief Guest of the programme was Dr. Saumitra Pujari, Professor of History Department, J.B. College, Jorhat and Saha Prant Pramukh of Vivekananda Kendra Assam Prant. 

Different programmes were organized on the theme of Swami Vivekananda, Bharat Mata and Bhagini Nivedita. Gayan Bayan, Borgeet, Bharatnatyam, Sattriya were presented by the students. Two Dramas were performed by the students, one was on the “Incidents from the life of Swamiji” and the other one was on “Swaccha Bharat”, the two dramas were the main attraction of the programme. 

Vote of Thanks was delivered by Smt. Sudipta Dam, Senior Teacher of our Vidyalaya. The programme concluded with Shanti Mantra. Approx 900 students, parents and well wishers witnessed the programme.

Ganit Prajna Pariksha Samvardhan 

5th January, 2018 

On 5th January, 2018, Ganit Prajna Pariksha Samvardhan, 2017 was organized for Class VI, VII, VIII. It started from 12:10 pm and continued till 1:45 pm. The programme started with Mangalacharan. Sri Shashanka Sir gave the welcome address. The Principal, Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar welcomed the Chief Guest Dr. Priya Dev Goswami, Associate Professor, Dept. of Mathematics, DHSK College, Dibrugarh with Phulam Gamusa as a token of love. 

Two of the students of Class VII have shared their experience of their participation in GPP Samvardhan which was organized at VKIC, Guwahati on 1st to 3rd September, 2017. Respected Dr. Priya Dev Goswami has interacted with the students and gave his valuable speech on application of Mathematics on day to day life. The programme was very informative and it helped our student to know about the importance of Mathematics. The Principal of the Vidyalaya, Sri Shashanka Sir and respected Chief Guest distributed the prizes and the certificates to the meritous students. The programme ended with Shantimantra.
