Jayanti Celebration
11th January, 2019: On the occasion of Vivekananda Jayanti, an interactuion cum
question answer session was organized in the Vidyalaya premises. Man.
Bhanudasji, the General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari addressed the
audience as speaker. In his address “Swami Vivekananda – a role model for
youth”, Man. Bhanudasji narrated some of the incidents from the life of
Swamiji. He encouraged introspection, as a way of remodeling oneself. He also
stressed the importance of living a virtous life. He also directed the students
to adopt Swamiji, as a model in their life and emphasized on the need to adopt
the practice “Yoga” for a healthy body and the faith in “mantras, bhajans and
chantings” for a peaceful and calm mind. The programme was also attended by Dr. Sristidhar Dutta, Dr. Kunjalata Deori and Sri Supratik Sinha along with parents, students and teachers.
12th January, 2019: A day long programme was organized on 12th
January, 2019 to celebrate Vivekananda Jayanti and Annual Day. A Pushpanjali
programme was arranged in the early hours at different places to mark the day.
Students, teachers and well wishers attended the programme to pay respect to
the great soul – Swami Vivekananda. Dr. Aditi Baruah, Associate
Professor, Department of Sanskrit, Dibru College, Dibrugarh was the Chief Guest
and Sri Dibakar Nath, IAS, Assistant Commissioner – Dibrugarh with Assam
Secretariat was the Guest of Honour.

Dibrugarh delivered the welcome speech. The gamut of celebration activities
programmes included group songs, recitation, mime, bharat natyam and lot more
reflecting moral and cultural values. The celebration was attended by a jam
packed audience of parents, teachers and well wishers.
