National Youth Day and Swami Vivekananda Jayanti, 2026 was celebrated on 12th January in a very enthusiastic manner in 14 different destinations of Dibrugarh in the morning hours with Pushpanjali in honour of the great patriot, a group song reminiscing the role of Swamiji and a skit of his childhood days depicting his heroic nature.
In the afternoon, a cultural program was exclusively staged for primary kids in the Dibrugarh District Library. Mayor of Dibrugarh City, Dr Saikat Patra was present as Chief Guest. Principal of the Vidyalaya, Shri Achintya Goswami welcomed the Guest and offered his welcome address to all present. The Chief Guest highlighted on the theme of this year's National Youth Day "Ignite the self and Impact the world”. A plethora of colourful and vivid programmes were staged including skit on Swamiji, Action Song, Jhumur Dance, Bhajan, Bihu, Role Play on the lives of great personalities, Sattriya, Bharatnatyam, Dance-drama on ancient Indian games and sports. The highlight of the program was "Shri Ramchandra Is Back”, a drama which bagged the Best Drama in the 6th Sankardev Natya Samaroh (Inter -School) held at Golaghat in the month of November, 2025. The program concluded with vote of thanks by Vice Principal. Parents, well-wishers, Kendra Karyakartas graced the occasion.
