Inauguration
of Atal Tinkering Laboratory (ATL) at VKV Dibrugarh

A brief
programme was organized to inaugurate the ATL of VKV Dibrugarh. The chief guest
of the program was Sri Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, DC of Dibrugarh District.
Formally inaugurating the ATL with lighting the lamp and offering floral
tribute to Swami Vivekananda, Sri Pallav Gopal Jha encouraged the young minds
to develop the spirit of enquiry.
He urged the students not to be bookish but
to build the base of scientific concepts through hands on experiment saying, “We
have labs in the basement of our houses”. He stressed on the importance of
“Questioning” by students which will shape their personality. Stating the
students as the fortunate generation, having a modern lab, he expected them to
take charge of the damaged environment and repair it.
Sri Mayank
Purushottam, Director CADX, was also present in the inauguration along with Sri
Ravikant Altekar, Senior Scientist, Bhava Atomic Research Center, Dr. Sristidhar
Dutta, Retired Dean, Rajiv Gandhi University, Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh and
Dr. Kunjalata Deori, Retd. Professor, Dept. of Physics, DHSK College,
Dibrugarh.
Dr. Sristidhar Dutta, also Chairman of the Vidyalaya Management
Committee expressed his happiness at the inauguration of the ATL. Eulogized for
the school getting an ATL, he said that it is a dream fulfillment for the
younger generation.
