Madhavdev Tithi – Celebration of Madhavdev Tithi in
the school campus. Sri Sri Madhavdev was an important preceptor of Sankardev’s
Ekasarana Dharma. He was the closet and most devoted disciple of Srimanta
Shankardev and is best known as creator of Naam Ghoxa, as well as a large
selection of Borgeets. Every year Madhavdev tithi is celebrated in VKV Dibrugarh and this year it was celebrated on 31st August, 2018. It started
with a speech on the importance of the day by a student of class X, followed by
a Borgeet group performance by the students of class VI to X. Also, for the
primary section, a speech on the significance of the day was given by Rita
Dowerah didi, followed by a Borgeet performance by the students. The
celebration glorified this great personality of our state.
