The 73rd
Independence Day was celebrated with mirth and gaiety in the Vidylaya campus. A brief programme was organized to realize the
importance of the day. It started with floral tribute at Sahid Vedi, unfurling
of the tricolor by the Principal. The Principal on his address drew the
attention of the audience to the role and sacrifice of the soldiers serving at
the border. He also highlighted how students can serve their motherland by
keeping their environment clean and doing their petty personal work themselves.
He also enlightened the audience on the efforts made behind the construction of the
Rock memorial as it is observing its 50th glorious years of
construction.
Other
highlights of the programme were group song, action song, skit on the role of
freedom fighter of Assam, Kanaklata and Mukunda Kakoti. Instrumental music
presentation was a major highlighted. The students’ tuned the music of the
famous patriotic song “Saare Jahan se Accha” and our National Anthem "Jana Gana Mana". Total participants were 500
approx.
