The programme began by offering Floral tribute to Gandhiji and Shastriji by Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar, Principal, Sri R. M. Thakre, Vice - Principal along with the Senior teachers of our vidyalaya. This was followed by a geet "Vaishnava Janato" which was presented by our teacher Smt. Pranamika Bordoloi. Significance of the day was delivered by our teacher Sri Rupesh Kumar Singh in which he mentioned the contributions of Gandhiji towards the nation and the simple yet powerful life of Shashtri ji which is commendable. Smt. Aparajita Chetia, teacher, gave a speech on the life of Mahatma Gandhi. Preface of the book "Bahuroope Gandhi" written by Anu Bandopadhyaya was read out by our teacher Smt. Sunita Verma. In this book we know how Gandhiji became a legend with his great deeds. Two incidents from Gandhiji's Life when he performed as darzi and dhobi was read by our students Kr. Jyotiraditya Upadhyaya of Class IX and Kr. Abhroneel Saikia of Class VIII.
A speech on the life history of Shastri Ji followed by a short story was delivered by Sri Ramji Prasad, teacher. Shastriji’s Gatha in tune was performed by a group of teachers. Finally the programme ended with vote of thanks by one of our senior teacher Smt. Deepa Bora.
