VIVEKANANDA JAYANTI

On the eve of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti also celebrated as Youth day, a two day long programme was organized by Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Dibrugarh i.e on 11th & 12th   January 2023. On 11th, A Bhains entitled KURUSANDHYA was stazed by the well-wishers of the vidyalaya. The Bhaona reflected the statesmanship of Lord Krishna and the motivation to Arjuna who refused to fight. The Bhaona also reflected the power of women through Gandhari, Kunti, Padma and Draupadi. The head of various institutions, well - wishers, aluminia, parents and guardians were invited for the two day long programme. On 12th A pushpanjali programme was organized in the early hours in the school premises. Students, teachers and well - wishers attented the programme to pay respect to the great soul SWAMI VIVEKANANDA. In the evening a cultural programme was organized. The program started with Mangalacharan and the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest Rajiv Ranjan DIG, CRPF Dibrugarh. Sri Rajiv Ranjan in his speech spoke on the importance of National Youth Day and expressed that he was impressed by the school for giving scope to inculcate the values enunciated by Swami Vivekananda through various activities.

The gamut of cultural programmes included programmes depicting tradition and cultural values such as Ekya mantra, Bharat Natyam, skit, Gita Chanting, Ganesh Vandana, Shiva Tandev Stotra, Sattriya Nritya, Dihanaam, Ram Bhajan, Goalparia Lokageeth, traditional instrument and Janajati Bihu. The celebration was attended by a jam packed audience of heads of various institutions, parents, teachers and students, well-wishers.
