ACHIEVEMENTS

On the occasion of 473rd Birth Anniversary celebration of Sri Sri Badda Padma Aata and Mega Sattriya Cultural Festival held on 13th and 14th June, 2019 organized by Sri Sri Badala Sewa Samity, Assam in association with Directorate of Cultural Affairs, Govt. of Assam, Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Studies in Performing Art, Dibrugarh University at Srmanta Sankardev Kalashetra Samaj, Guwahati. Our Teacher Sri Manik Chandra Borah performed Sattriya Dance amidst which there were many other cultural performances performed by artist from all over India. At this grant event, many dignitaries were present including the Governor of Assam. Sri Manik Ch. Borah was fortunate and honored to be felicitated by the Governor on this occasion. 
On 14th June, 2019 a National seminar on Sattriya culture was held where he presented a paper titled Ankiya Natar Sutradhari Nritya, Parampara aru Natunatwar sandhan.

Inauguration of Atal Tinkering Laboratory (ATL) at VKV Dibrugarh 24th June, 2019


A brief programme was organized to inaugurate the ATL of VKV Dibrugarh. The chief guest of the program was Sri Pallav Gopal Jha, IAS, DC of Dibrugarh District. Formally inaugurating the ATL with lighting the lamp and offering floral tribute to Swami Vivekananda, Sri Pallav Gopal Jha encouraged the young minds to develop the spirit of enquiry. 


He urged the students not to be bookish but to build the base of scientific concepts through hands on experiment saying, “We have labs in the basement of our houses”. He stressed on the importance of “Questioning” by students which will shape their personality. Stating the students as the fortunate generation, having a modern lab, he expected them to take charge of the damaged environment and repair it.

International Yoga Day  21st June, 2019

The International Yoga Day as proposed by our Prime Mnister Sri Narendra Modi is celebrated all over the world. Since its inception in the year 2015, June 21st, this day is celebrated in our Vidyalaya by the students and teachers with great enthusiasm. 270 students from Class II to X participated in the programme conducted by Sri Biren Saikia where he demonstrated various asanas and pranayamas.


Warm up exercises were demonstrated and all the students and few parents and teachers performed sitting and standing asanas, importance of these asanas were explained simultaneously. The celebration began with the Principal Sir’s speech at 7 am in the Vidyalaya assembly hall where he spoke about the importance of Yoga in our day to day life. He also stressed upon that Yoga is just not exercise but it is about harmonizing oneself with the universe.


Regular practice of Yoga will surely help our students achieve a better life physically, mentally and spiritually.

Workshop on Jyoti and Rabha Sangeet  (19th & 20th June, 2019)





A two day workshop on Jyoti and Rabha Sangeet was conducted in our Vidyalaya. The workshop was inaugurated by Sri R. M. Thakre, Vice principal, VKV Dibrugarh with the speech on the lives of Sri Sri Jyoti Prasad Agarwalla and Sri Sri Bishnu Prasad Rabha. 











The workshop was attended by 63 students from Classes III to IX of our Vidyalaya.








The workshop was conducted on the musical works of the two geniuses of Assam under the facilitation of Smt. Pranamika Bordoloi and Sri Manik Chandra Borah and co-ordinators Smt. Jyotsna Devi and Sri Ashish Roy, teachers of VKV Dibrugarh.

Rabha Divas  (20th June, 2019)

Rabha Divas was observed in our Vidyalaya on 20th June, 2019 in presence of students and teachers. Floral tribute was paid to Rabha image. 


Kr. Nibir Nayan Mahanta, student of Class X gave a speech on life of Jyoti-Rabha and their immense contribution towards the Assamese culture. 


Three group Rabha sangeet were presented by the primary and secondary students. Smt. Rita Dowerah, teacher gave a speech on the life of the two great icons of Assam and their contribution to the society.
Talk and Interaction Programme with Mananeeya Rekha Didi of VK Kanyakumari  (12th June, 2019) An interaction of the teachers was organized in the Vidyalaya on 12th June, 2019 with Man. Rekha Didi, Jevanvrati Karyakarta, VK Kanyakumari . Rekha didi hails from Jhansi, UP and extended her service intensively in the state of Arunachal Pradesh since 1995. She also gave a talk on “Ek Bharat – Vijay Bharat”. To extend her idea of her topic, she rehearsed the teachers with the challenges and construction behind the monument of Rock Memorial. She concluded with her address to teachers that teachers should always involve themselves in teaching. There is also the need of realize on the part of the teachers that learning is a continuous process and they should continue to learn for their students. She also emphasized that teachers should know how to talk and where to talk so that they can be successful.

AAVP Workshop (Cluster Level)  8th to 11th June, 2019


The AAVP workshop, 2019 was held in our Vidyalaya from 8th to 11th June, 2019. Principal Sir Sri Ravindranath D. Savdeykar addressed the crowd and welcomed the guest schools. He also spoke about the purpose of the workshop. He encouraged the participants with lots of examples and valuable thoughts. He motivated them to be forever curious in their lives as it is a quality that inspires people to learn new things. He introduced the master trainers Sri Deep Dutta, Asstt. Teacher, VKV Dibrugarh and Smt. Mallika Khandelwal, Asstt. Teacher, VKV Golaghat. The participants and their guided teachers introduced themselves. 5 schools participated namely – VKV Dibrugarh, VKV Golaghat, VKV Majuli, VKV Doyang and VKV Sivasagar. 


Sessions were on Investigatory project, meaning of Science, different components of Pendulum, Classification skills, Collection projects, creative thinking exercise, brainstorming techniques etc. Students were divided into …

WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY AT VKV DIBRUGARH
World Environment Day was observed on 5th June, 2019 in our Vidyalaya premises along with 25 nos. of NCC cadets. The students planted saplings in the Vidyalaya campus for a clean and green environment. The students participated actively and with full enthusiasm.

In occasion of World Environment Day was an Art Competition wasorganized by Division Forest Office, Dibrugarh district. Two students of our Vidyalaya, Kum. Debosree Sarkar (class VII) bagged 1st prize and Kr. Manash Singh (class VI) bagged 2nd prize.

Vyaktitva Vikas Shibir (PDC) for Class VI
28th May to 1st June, 2019

Vyaktitva Vikas Shibir (PDC) started from 28th May to 1st June, 2019 for the students of Class VI (2019-20) in our Vidyalaya in which trainings were given to the students on Yoga Abhyas, chanting Slokas, Geet abhyas etc. “Boudhik Satras” were conducted for the students, in this satra Guests are invited to take sessions for the students.Su. Aparna Didi, Secretary, VKVAPT took session with an interesting and motivational story of ‘the Lion and the Goat’ and explained the moral of the story. She narrated another story of ‘the Proudy Saint’, through this story she conveyed the message that whatever task is assigned to us we should do it sincerely and never to do or think ill of others. She also interacted with the students and asked few questions where students participated actively. She also shared stories of Swamiji.
